Running Playlist: Amazon top 10 BPM analysis: 10-27-2010

Yesterday, I posted that I was in running playlist heaven since Taylor Swift had 5 songs in the top 10 list on iTunes. Surprisingly, the Amazon.com customers didn’t see the release of her new album as such a momentous occasion and are still sticking with the same top 10 list as they have kept more or less the same for over 5 weeks.

This is actually an interesting lesson in marketing since it looks like iTunes customers are probably younger and more diverse in their musical taste and Amazon customers are less influenced by albums targeted at a younger market and buy more or less what keeps playing in the top 20 lists on the radio.

Anyway…
