I recently discovered a great new running playlist and music related service I thought I’d share.
The service is called AudioFuel (http://www.audiofuel.co.uk), and they provide a pre-recorded full lenght BPM optimized workout, that not only gives you music with the correct BPM for your workout, but also provides you with audio coaching and motivation during the workout.
Audio Fuel’s music is basically electronic music and since they create their own music, they can pinpoint the exact BPM that you need to be at depending on the workout you are planning.
For a while now, I’ve been looking for a good interval training program and AudioFuel has a bunch of those so i decided to give it a try.
First, I chose a program called, “Yelling Performance 3 Step Intervals 180 MAX”. I should have known that this would be a tough one just because it had the word “yelling” in the title (it’s actually the name of the coach recorded on the program, not really someone yelling at you but still…).
This program was too much for me, it started out just fine, with a good warm-up, but then the BPMs went up, and by the 2nd time they went to 180, I was completely wiped out.
This program is definitely not for beginners, but if you are a seasoned runner looking for a really good workout, this one is for you. I’m thinking it would be a good program for spinning as well, but I think AudioFuel has a separate section for that.
Next, I decided to go easy on myself, and tried a program called “Run Easy Vol 1_ The First Hour Continuous DJ Mix”, much better…
